About DevEast

DevEast is an advocacy project set up to champion the sustainable development of South Eastern Nigeria

Despite the urgent need to bring in investment into the South East, few realistic models exist for South Easterners in diaspora to bring investment into the zone. Or turning the zone into an investor friendly place that will attract international investment. "Collins Onuegbu, Founder, DevEast"

DevEast is an advocacy project set up to champion the sustainable development of South Eastern Nigeria and help create the East we want to see in the year 2050. DevEast has developed a model for the development of the South East as a single development zone with the current states specializing in areas they have the best comparative advantage.

This state specialization model makes it easy for the development of industrial clusters and helps investors know where to site industries in the East. Business in Community(BIC) the DevEast community based development model builds entrepreneurship and industry in communities from the grounds up., making the Eastern community a component of the overall industrialization and development of the zone.

DevEast works with other development organizations and public sector institutions and Igbo groups to build consensus and definitive programs on which the zone can build platforms to attract investments.
